Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Kent

Salary: £45 000.00 DOE

Work Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:30 + Overtime.

The Role

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing gas appliances and systems in commercial buildings. You will ensure that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation: Install, commission, and test gas appliances and systems in commercial buildings, including boilers, heaters, and pipework.
  • Servicing and Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance checks and servicing of gas appliances and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Identify and rectify any faults or issues promptly.
  • Repairs: Diagnose and repair faults in gas appliances and systems, including troubleshooting complex problems and replacing faulty components as necessary.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards, and manufacturer specifications. Maintain accurate records of work undertaken.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including communicating effectively with clients, addressing their queries and concerns, and offering professional advice on gas-related issues.
  • Emergency Callouts: Respond to emergency callouts promptly and efficiently, resolving urgent issues with gas appliances and systems to minimize downtime and disruption.
  • Training and Development: Stay updated with the latest industry developments, technologies, and regulations through continuous learning and training opportunities.
