You have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and high-achieving institution, committed to delivering excellent educational experiences to its students. They are looking for an IT Network Manager to join a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a very rewarding atmosphere.

As an IT Network Manager, you will be overseeing all aspects of the development and management of the school’s IT infrastructure. This includes the continuous maintenance of the school’s IT systems, along with the identification and implementation of new technological strategies. As part of the Trust-wide department, this role also plays a key part in supporting IT operations throughout the Trust.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and integrity, resolving issues through troubleshooting, updating and optimising hardware and software.
• Manage security measures for the network, including firewall configurations, encryption and anti-virus software to ensure that data and systems are protected against unauthorised access or breaches.
• Lead, mentor and develop the IT team, ensuring effective support and continuity of services across the college.
• Responding to, diagnosing and resolving ICT incidents in order to maintain service levels for all users.
• Liaising with students and other members of staff, ensuring a high level of customer service is provided.

Experience

• Experience as an IT Technician or a related-field is expected.
• Time spent working on Windows Desktop and Server, Microsoft Azure and VMWare would certainly be advantageous.
• Any programming or scripting experience would be an added benefit.
• Ability to communicate complex network concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Capability of working on your toes, with 2 days rarely the same, you will be dealing with a variation of issues.
