Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR activities, including managing complex employee relations casework, supporting recruitment processes, and carrying out new employee inductions. You'll play a key role in maintaining a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Handle complex employee relations issues, including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absences, retirements, and redundancies. Maintain and update 'Right to Work' records to ensure compliance.
- Support the recruitment process by writing job descriptions, preparing interview questions, and creating application forms.
- Conduct new employee inductions to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Continuously review HR policies and processes, recommending and implementing changes as needed to align with best practices and regulations.
- Report on employee absenteeism and performance through appraisals, providing insights and recommendations to management.
Requirements:
- Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification or equivalent.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under broad guidance and minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with basic influencing and engagement capabilities.
- Basic report writing and presentation skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and other HR software tools.
- A valid and clean driver's license.
